Designs & tips Look for woven butis, zari borders, block prints (Bagru/Sanganeri), bandhej & leheriya, and gota-patti/chikankari embroidery. Visit Kaithoon to watch weaving and buy from cooperatives (looms mostly rest Sundays); check the GI mark, the soft hand-feel of true handloom, and whether zari is real/tested. Buying at source supports the women weavers and usually costs less.
